Jullian James is a young singer song writer based in New York City. With dreams of becoming a professional singer, Jullian, originally from Ft. Meyers, Florida, moved to New York City where he began working with producer Nathaniel Nicol to compose his first album, ‘From My Integrated Soul.’ An ode to artists he grew up admiring like Sam Cooke, Howling Wolf, B.B King and Etta James, the Rhythm & Blues record tells a story with every track. ‘From My Integrated Soul’ includes multiple collaborations including one with the Grammy award-winning artist Mya called ‘Secret Weapon.’ Jullian, who has performed at an array of NYC venues, celebrated the release of his debut single ‘My Sweet Radio’ at Hudson Terrace in February and he recently released his second single, ‘Its About Feelin’ Good.’ Jullian is currently an active participant for the non-profit organization, Musicians on Call, an organization that brings musicians to the bedsides of hospital patients.

I had always been a tad off beat, a little backwards reading most books, and articles from back to front to know the outcome before the cause. I wanted to feel safe in knowing that what I was spending my time reading, and learning was really worth my energy. I think it was a sort of safety mechanism. “What happens if I read this, and by the end what I have learned gets me nowhere?” “If I get nothing from this what was the point?” So after moving to New York City a year, and some months ago now, I have taken on more of an iridescent view on life, really seeing there is more than meets thee eye to the outcome of anything, and that there is more to be learned in the cause. I look back thinking how ignorant it really was of me to think of receiving an outcome before a cause, how could I really enjoy the fruits with out the labor anyway? It’s a sobering beauty, life and it’s lessons being able to get through the scrambled, the erratic, the deranged, and the delirious. Letting the dust settle to see, and most importantly feel the difference, and knowing the importance to its reason. What a relief huh? Discipline, and a little ingenuity pay off! Metaphorically speaking the outcome of the books we read we may not enjoy, we may not appreciate, and we may not agree with, but the cause from page one into the final chapter tell tale to how we arrived there, and that my friends is most important. When latter days come, and life does it’s circular motion it will always do the same synopsis will show it’s pages, and it is our job to not take our lessons in vein, but the second time around to make a rational, intelligent decision with ALL the information… And so life becomes an intuitive read… Metaphorically Speaking

On Tuesday, March 13th, recording artist Jullian James performed at SoHo’s Sway Lounge for a great cause. The evening benefitted Musicians on Call, an organization that brings live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities. Jullian, who volunteers for the charity, sang a five-song set from his upcoming album, “From My Integrated Soul.”

The young crooner teamed up with Sway to raise money for the charity, encouraging guests to make a donation. “I wanted to use my voice as an artist to raise money and awareness for Musicians on Call because it is a cause I truly believe in and stand by,” Jullian said prior to his performance.

Miami Dolphins’ running back Larry Johnson was spotted Tuesday night at NYC’s Sway Lounge with his on-again, off-again girlfriend and MTV personality, Julissa Bermudez. Reality show cameras were also rolling, go figure, for a new show that follows the lives of Bermudez and her friend Adrienne Bailon. The pair took in a performance by Cape Coral native Jullian James from a private table where they were seen sipping cocktails from a Medea vodka bottle that had “I Love You” scrolling across it in lights.

Nestled in SoHo on Spring Street, Sway Lounge set the mood for the evening with its mysterious entrance and sexy Moroccan decor including domed ceilings, tiled walls and candle lit interior. As guests mingled and enjoyed complimentary MEDEA cocktails, cameras from the Style Network lit up the room, capturing scenes for an up and coming reality television series following the lives of Adrienne Bailon and Julissa Bermudez. Bermudez watched Jullian perform at a private table with her boyfriend, pro-football player Larry Johnson.
